Local polls running smoothly

Submitted by on 1, November 4, 2008 – 1:00 pmNo Comment

We just checked in with the folks over at the Alameda Democratic Club, who have been monitoring poll activity today, and it sounds like things are going smoothly across the Island. We’ve heard various reports on lines (Eve Pearlman’s reporting there was a line at Edison School; we didn’t face one when we voted at Washington School at around 7:30 this morning).

“Everybody is voting. There’s a lot who have already voted,” the club’s Kathy Moore told us today.

Moore reported no irregularities and short lines. “It’s been a pretty smooth process as a whole,” she said.

We’ll have more to come on this; in the meantime, we’d love to hear about your experiences at the polls. You can comment by clicking the envelope below, or e-mail us at islandblog@gmail.com.
