Looks like the ROV is releasing results a little ahead of schedule tonight, with what we’re assuming are absentee and early votes in.

Looks like we’ve got incumbents Doug deHaan and Marie Gilmore leading the city council race, with 31 percent and 30 percent of the vote respectively.

On the school board, we’ve got retired principal Niel Tam leading the pack with 27 percent of the vote, Trish Spencer next with 19 percent and incumbent Janet Gibson with 18 percent.

Measure P is losing, 53 to 47 percent. Looks like they’ve got around 10,500 votes counted.

And on the state measures, we can’t get onto the Secretary of State’s website, but the Chronicle is reporting that Proposition 8 is leading, 55 to 45 percent.

Local results are here.

More to come …
