ARRA to discuss SunCal plan tonight
In the midst of all the election madness, we got a reminder from the folks at HOMES (that’s short for Housing Opportunities Make Economic Sense) that the Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority (which is made up of the five members of the City Council) will be discussing SunCal’s proposed development plan for Alameda Point tonight. They’ll also be talking about all the public comments that have been made about the plan thus far.
The HOMES folks say issues around transit, public space, integration with the main Island and “neighborhood centers” could be discussed.
If you want to check it out or comment, the meeting’s at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The plan, by the way, is available online, here. SunCal’s master plan for Alameda Point is due December 19.
