The plan for the Point
The Planning Board will be getting a copy of the Alameda Point development concept tonight (SunCal will present its Alameda Point plans to the Planning Board on October 27). We just wanted to note that the developer will be presenting the plan to a long, long list of city boards and commissions over the course of the month.
If you want to hear it directly from the horse’s mouth, there is almost no way for you to miss out. And each meeting is set to focus on a different piece of the plan.
They’ll present to the Housing Commission at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Ruth Rambeau Community Room, 703 Atlantic Avenue; that presentation is slated to focus on housing proposals and strategies in the development concept. Then at 7 p.m. Thursday at City Hall, they’ll talk to the Economic Development Commission about economic development, jobs and commercial development.
A full schedule is here. The Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Agency Board (aka the City Council) will get the presentation on November 5. The master plan has been pushed back a month to incorporate feedback and will now be due out December 19.
