The Planning Board last night certified the environmental impact report for expansion plans at Alameda Towne Centre, over the howls of some neighbors and traffic engineers who questioned whether its noise and traffic figures were for real. The board also approved a plan to mitigate traffic, noise and other problems the construction and operation of the expanded center could cause.
The development amendment that would permit the Centre expansion is still (mostly) on the table, however. We’re way too tired to relate the details of the expansion plan, so check ’em out for yourself right here.
