A quick clarification …

Submitted by on 1, June 4, 2008 – 8:00 amNo Comment

Now that we at The Island have got the benefit of a few hours sleep, we took a second look at Mike McMahon’s website. He’s saying there need to be 1,700 to 1,800 provisionals or absentee ballots walked in for Measure H to pass. Which, frankly, does not seem likely. But who knows. We’ll check in with the Registrar of Voters for an actual count and update you as soon as we have more news. UPDATE 9:21 a.m: Just checked with the ROV and they’re telling us they do have absentees and provisionals to be counted, but don’t have a number yet. They said they may have more for us this afternoon or tomorrow, though what we do get will probably be a county number, without breakouts by city. As always, stay tuned …
